1. Limestone

She crawled across the rocks into a beach cave
The limestone was pooled in the light
Her body so thin and the sand on her skin
Took her slowly out of sight

Now I know every bar on this small hill
I know every drinker by name
And I know everyone, come the light of the sun
Would say they know me just the same

Tonight I lifted my chin to the bright lights
And squeezed every note that I could
As the snare shot came down and the strings came unwound
I saw her moving like I knew I would on the limestone
